See the new Wiggified
So the BIG day has come and gone. It’s over. No more. ::Sigh::
I thoroughly enjoyed planning a wedding for the last three years. And I was able to finally see the fruits of love and labor. It was hard to believe that everything came together. It could not have been accomplished without the love and support of our family and friends…. and our vendors.
Aside from a few sprinkles (mistings) in the morning, the afternoon cleared to a cool fall afternoon. It was perfect. “I Do’s” were said, dances were danced, wine flowed, food was eaten, and good times were had by all.
I was hassled for not updating this right before the wedding…. so here it is.
I can’t believe it’s finally here. There was a small part of me on Tuesday evening that wanted to say the next time someone asked if I was excited, I wanted to say, “About Grey’s on Thursday?! Heck ya!” … just to mess with ‘em.
Yes, I’m excited. This almost five year relationship, almost three year engagement, is due a wedding. No, I’m not nervous. Why be nervous about something you’re sure of the rest of the 364 days of the year. It fits. It’s right. The ying to my yang. We balance each other. I think to quote a cousin… I’m all (insert wild/goofy noise of choice) and Jason’s a bit calmer and laid back. I mean really, does anyone really remember the first thing they said to their future in-laws (even before saying ‘hello’)? I do… “Honey, I’m home.” When you know, you know.
And tomorrow (holy crap- TOMORROW!!!) I get to marry the man that makes me the happiest girl in the world. I love him. And although Uncle Larry may not think he’s perfect (being a Steelers fan and all), he’s perfect for me. There’s nothing more I could ask for.
Well, I think we’re there. All but 5 or 6 RSVPs (which are presumed to be “no’s”) have been turned in for a grand total of 145 people! It’s a nice small number, compared to the 280 we initially invited. 145 puts us juuuuusst over 50%.
So, with that said, I’m glad we’re almost there! No, I’m not nervous, not one bit actually. I’m not sure if that comes from disbelief that it’s finally here, or that there really isn’t anything to be worried about. I guess not being in contact with my minister would be reason to fret, but for some reason I’m not. Hmmmm.
Newest Addition: Jason found him outside this morning under a bush. The little guy was quite affectionate. So I took him to the vet today, and with a clean bill of health, I brought him home. Here’s where he’s been all day.
A friend of mine introduced me to Tumblr about a week ago, and it seemed more interesting than regular blogging. I have no doubt I lack the capabilities to sit down and extensively write about what’s going on in our lives. So, to remedy this, Tumblr’s openly accepted “one-liners” blogging style seems to fit what I’m going for.
